1960 Land Rover Restoration

This is just a simple pictorial history of my restoration of an original Canadian-import 1960 Land Rover Series 2 88" (or SWB - Short Wheel Base), LHD (Left Hand Drive) which I purchased in August, 2010. Later posts include photos of some of the things I've done with the vehicle since its restoration was essentially completed, although repairs and other maintenance are obviously an ongoing process. Fox Run

Fox Run is a retirement home, and every year they sponsor a get-together of the 'Boot n' Bonnet' British Car Club. They very kindly provide the venue and a free lunch, and in exchange the home residents can have the opportunity to come out and see the cars and meet the club.

Beautiful day for the half-hour drive. We were the first there, and could pick our spot. Chose next to the shade tent, obviously! Land Rover resplendant in her wrinkles.
