1960 Land Rover Restoration

This is just a simple pictorial history of my restoration of an original Canadian-import 1960 Land Rover Series 2 88" (or SWB - Short Wheel Base), LHD (Left Hand Drive) which I purchased in August, 2010. Later posts include photos of some of the things I've done with the vehicle since its restoration was essentially completed, although repairs and other maintenance are obviously an ongoing process. And a Little More

I think I picked the right vehicle to restore. Over a foot of snow on the roads in some places makes having a Series 2 to take my daughter to school in a nice thing to have. The deep snow would have made it almost impossible to use my 'normal' car this morning, and nice to have a higher vantage point due to all the drifts and high snowbanks.
