Took advantage of some gorgeous Fall weather to use the Land Rover instead of the "normal" car today. Nothing like rowing smoothly through an old gearbox, to the sound of leaves beneath your wheels.
This is just a simple pictorial history of my restoration of an original Canadian-import 1960 Land Rover Series 2 88" (or SWB - Short Wheel Base), LHD (Left Hand Drive) which I purchased in August, 2010. Later posts include photos of some of the things I've done with the vehicle since its restoration was essentially completed, although repairs and other maintenance are obviously an ongoing process. Very nice pic!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat an outstanding job you have done restoring this vehicle. I was alerted to the presence of your blog by the 3Brothers website. It caught my attention as I am just north of the city (Brewers Mills area) and I have just started working on a 1965 Series IIa that I acquired a few weeks ago. While I can't hope to meet the high standards you have set, I am hoping that you might trade your knowledge and experience for beer sometime!-Tony.
ReplyDeleteTony, it would be a pleasure to come up and have a look at your project. Drop me a line at me-262a-1a (at) hotmail.com
